The Origin

In the mid-1800s, long before the highways and modern crowds, this land was home to Rev. Comfort Babcock Waller—a pioneer, a school commissioner, and a spiritual leader. He and his wife Nancy settled here in 1842, raising their family and building a community from the shoreline up. So significant was his presence that the lake before you bore his name: Waller's Lake.

The Legacy

Over time, the name faded. "Waller's" became "Wallace," misheard and misspelled into history. But the soul of this place remembers. We honor the man who built a school, a church, and a life on these very shores—whose story deserves to be told.

The Return

Welcome to Waller's on the Lake. We are reviving a forgotten name to remind you of a time when gatherings were sacred and meals were a celebration. Here, we honor the past while crafting your next memory.
